Where do I see my streak?
Last updated:
You see your streak right on the grid: days you made light up side by side, and a day you skipped stays behind as a gap. That is part of the free version, which covers up to 2 habits. As numbers, your current and your best streak sit in the advanced statistics, and those come with Premium. Only at milestones does the app tell you the number without Premium, in a notification.
On the grid
Every habit gets its own row in the grid. Tap a day and its cell lights up. Days you made sit side by side and form your streak, and a gap jumps right out. For a habit with a goal, a unit and a step size, a day counts once you reach the daily goal.
Switch from “Month” to “Year” above the list, and every card shows a whole year: one column per week, five levels of brightness. That puts even a long streak in view at a glance.
As a number: in the advanced statistics
With Premium, the “Stats” tab shows:
- the “Best Streak” card: the longest streak in days that any of your habits has reached,
- under “Habit Streaks”, “Current”, “Best” and “Rate” for every habit.
If you have not ticked off today yet, “Current” counts up to yesterday. So the streak does not break first thing in the morning.
Without Premium, this spot shows the note “Advanced stats & insights”. What Premium costs is on the pricing page.
Milestones: the number as a notification
When a habit reaches 7, 14, 21, 30, 60, 90, 100, 150, 200, 365, 500 or 1000 days in a row, the app sends you a notification, for example “Reading: 30 day streak achieved!”. That works without Premium too. The notification arrives the moment you tick off today.
You switch it on or off on the “Settings” tab under “Feedback”, with the “Streak notifications” switch. It is on out of the box.
The notification only appears if Habit Tracker Grid is allowed to send you notifications. The app asks for that when you turn on a reminder. You can change it later in the iOS settings, as Apple explains.
With a weekly goal, weeks count
If a habit has a weekly goal, “Current” and “Best” in the statistics count weeks you made instead of days, and the “Rate” is about weeks as well. More in Habits that aren’t daily.
Good to know
- The achievements around streaks are there without Premium too, in the gallery on the “Stats” tab.
